Potato Bread
I have some friends who host a drop in event every year where you are invited to bring a dish made with potatoes. Usually I am at the cabin and unable to attend, but the stars aligned this year and the kids and I were able to make an appearance. I made potato bread from scratch. It was easy to make and tasted great. I love making bread from scratch. I need to buy some proper loaf pans so my bread looks a little better.

I recommend Pyrex glass loaf pans.

(you may use HTML tags for style) really? And how would I attach them to my clothes?
I have a strange, failed love affair with bread making. About every 3 months the urge overcomes me and I succumb to the desire to make my own bread. But it usually fails. The loaves won’t rise well. I have more success with white than wheat. We are thinking of paving a patio with all the bricks I’ve made.

Gloria, I had a similar problem with the town house I used to own. I tried everything to get the bread to rise. Thinking the problem was draftieness, I even stuck the bread in a drawer of my water bed. Nothing worked. I never really figured the problem out.
All I know is that it seems to work now. They don’t always look picture perfect, but they aren’t bricks any more.

Thanks for the Pyrex suggestion. Since the potato bread was your idea you can bet I’ll check out the pyrex loaf pans.
