Where Have I Been?
Matthew and I have started Cub Scouts this fall. It’s brought back some great childhood memories for me. It’s been a lot of fun to plug Matthew into scouting. We got to shoot off rockets this last Saturday, which was a ton of fun. I forgot how much I love fire.
I took a three week hiatus from ice skating, but I got back to it this last Thursday. I got early warning that I might be going to NYC in December — the idea that I could be skating in front of Rockefeller Center is very appealing to me. Halloween 2006
Halloween was a blast.
The funny part for me was that the kids never once remembered their lines. They kept forgetting they were supposed to say something at each house. It’s not like their lines were complicated, it was just “Trick or Treat” followed by “Thank You!” after they got the candy. I feel a new kinship with the president’s speech writers.
It was so cold we put on layers and jackets underneath their costumes which is why they appear to be such bulky children.
